Fifty Years of Farming
the Right Way

In the late 1990s, we were among the first to plant fruit crops and natural rubber commercially in northern Guatemala — at a time when neither the knowledge nor the market infrastructure existed in the region.

Over the decades, we built Agrex into a diversified, vertically integrated agricultural group — from plantation to processing plant — run with the rigor of an institution and the long-term view of a family that intends to be here for generations.

Our expansion isn't only about Agrex. When we convert cattle pasture to FSC-certified rubber plantation — and when, for the first time, growers across Petén have a latex processing plant nearby to sell to — the whole region moves forward with us.

"We didn't follow the market into Petén — we helped create it. Building and operating the only latex processing plant in the region is our latest chapter in that story."

What We
Grow & Process

Total Rubber Land Base by 2028

Nearly double current production capacity — phased, responsible, and grounded in decades of regional expertise. Every hectare converted from pasture to productive forest.

Rubber trees require 6–7 years to reach productive maturity. Full output from new plantings will be realized progressively through the mid-2030s — exactly the kind of long-horizon investment we've always made.

What Sets Us
Apart

01

Vertically Integrated

From plantation to processing plant, we manage the full rubber value chain under one roof. Petén's only latex processing facility means our product reaches export markets as a finished, high-grade good — and opens the door for a new generation of regional growers alongside us.

02

Deep Regional Roots

Fifty years of uninterrupted farming in Petén have given us an understanding of this land — its soils, its seasons, its communities — that shapes every decision we make. We are not visitors to this region. We helped build it.

03

Built to Scale

We don't build for today's needs — we build for tomorrow's. From state-of-the-art machinery designed with capacity to grow, to the way we develop our teams and structure our operations, every investment is made with the long view in mind. Doing it right and doing it at scale are not in conflict. For us, they're the same thing.

04

Owner-Operated. Long Horizon.

Owner-operated with a long-term horizon — not managed for quarterly results. We make decisions with decades in mind, investing in people, land health, and infrastructure that compounds over time. That's not a philosophy we adopted. It's how our family has always farmed.

05

EUDR Ready — Built That Way from the Start

The EU Deforestation Regulation demands full traceability from land to product — and our structure already delivers it naturally. FSC-certified plantations with documented histories, a single owned processing plant, direct export relationships, and decades of continuous operation on the same land. We don't need to retrofit compliance. We've been farming this way for fifty years.

FSC Certified · Full Traceability · EUDR Compliant

What we harvest isn't just rubber or rambutan, but opportunities and a better future for our communities.

Big things are coming for Grupo Agrex, and we want to go far — together.

Harvesting development for all. Always.
